Should your local area have fibre network?

We are currently rolling out a fibre network to a million addresses in Denmark. You can help to get fibre for your local area and be ready for the future.

How it works

You tell us about your local area

You provide us with information about your area so that we can decide whether fibre is feasible. Naturally, this is entirely non-binding.

We contact you about the options for fibre

We present you with the options for fibre in your area, and what we expect from you as a frontrunner.

Enlisting interested parties in your area begins

As many households as possible must commit to wanting fibre connections and undertake to purchase subscriptions for internet, TV or telephony on the fibre connections when established.

We start registering households for fibre

When enough interested parties have been enlisted, typically at least 50%, your task as a frontrunner is complete, and we start the final registration for fibre in your area.

How we assess an area

We consider three criteria before deciding whether we can roll out fibre in an area:

  • Number of households
150 households, where at least half sign a letter of intent, have very good opportunities for fibre connections. If there are fewer households, your area can still be considered. However, there must be a minimum of 50 households.
  • The distance between households
Typically, we roll out to densely populated areas such as those with detached houses and large villages.
  • Existing internet access
We investigate the current internet access in your area. For example, if you only have internet via telephone sockets, that will have a positive impact on the assessment.

What will it cost?

As the conditions in individual areas vary, we work with two different pricing models. Before we begin obtaining letters of intent from the households in the local area, residents will be notified which model is appropriate for your area.

  1. In some cases, we only ask you to commit to purchasing a fibre subscription with one of our internet providers after the fibre has been installed. Please note that set-up fees may be associated with purchasing a subscription. If you do not subscribe within six months, you must pay for the installation fees for the fibre connection*.
  2. In some cases, we ask for an individual payment of between DKK 1,000 and 4,000 to connect your address to the fibre network. As with model A, you also commit to take out a fibre subscription with one of our internet providers after the fibre is installed. Please note that set-up fees may be incurred when purchasing a subscription. If you do not subscribe within six months, as with model A, you are required to pay the installation costs for the fibre connection*.

*If you register your address but do not buy or transfer a subscription within six months of the fibre connection being completed, we will charge you for installing the fibre connection. The price covers excavation and installation costs and depends on the distance from the street to the point where the fibre enters your house. The following prices are for reference:

10 metres or less: DKK 3,937 including VAT.
10-20 metres: DKK 4,687 including VAT.
20-30 metres: DKK 6,187 including VAT.

The reference prices apply to underdrilling and blowing the fibre cable through a conduit on your land. If, contrary to expectations, blowing the cable is not possible, we will bury the cable on your land. Excavation prices are calculated per metre and cost DKK 119 including VAT on non-paved or loosely paved land. If standard paving is involved, the price is DKK 324 including VAT per metre, and if cobblestones, paving stones and the like are present, the price is DKK 386 including VAT per metre. If we have to dig through tarmac, concrete or the like, the price is DKK 494 including VAT per metre. The prices are for reference and will not exceed the stated amounts.

Let’s get started

Send us your contact details and tell us a little about your local area. The more households, the better. Then we will contact you and start a dialogue about what we expect of you as a frontrunner.

When we have reviewed the information about your area, we will get in touch with you, most likely within 14 days.
